Yes this tape is advertised as electrical tape commonly used for electrical purposes but I use it to mask light switches. Some items, such as B. Phone chargers plug into outlets controlled by wall switches. Some are triple switches, and if someone accidentally or unknowingly flips the switch to the off position, someone will wake up with a phone or device with a dead battery. To solve this problem, I cut two pieces of tape, flipped the switch to the "on" position, covered the underside of the switch so it was difficult to move, and then used another piece of tape to secure the cover switch. The switch and switch plates are white, so the white band is almost invisible until someone touches it. This serves as a reminder, letting them stop and think because someone has to remove the tape to flip the switch to the off position. I've also used this for key switches by fully closing the toggle switch. A third use for this tape is to cover the air filter with a bright light that bothers some people at night. I've been doing this for years now and the tape sticks very well until I remove it.
