Review on Bates Men's Industrial Black Medium Athletic Shoes for Men by Scott Richardson

Initially I was very happy with the comfort, fit and even the black on black look of these shoes. Due to the large mesh inserts, they are also suitable for long walks in hotter climates. However, those mesh panels are a weak point in what appears to be the brand's first design: after just a few months of (admittedly daily) use. the net slowly began to tear. Bates customer service considered it a defect (I agree) and sent several emails (I had to remind them) and months later they sent a brand new replacement. Parts started breaking. The support again rated this as a defect and promised to send a replacement. It didn't happen this time; In fact, they don't even reply to my emails anymore. Mind you, I wasn't pushy (maybe 1 email every month) and would have accepted "sorry can't do" as an answer, but here we are. So actually a good shoe, but not durable and casual. Service.
