My first needle was similar to this but lighter. I decided to exchange it for a more modern wooden one, very smooth, very long, without handles. What mistake! It took forever to roll out the dough and it was such a workout that I stopped baking so much because the AI knew I was in for a struggle just to roll the dough out wide and flat. I decided to go back to traditional video and make it as hard as I could find. This needle is AWESOME. Doesn't smudge (I roll out dough for Jamaican patties and curry dye a wooden pin), rolls very smoothly and makes rolling out the dough quick and easy, especially given its heavy weight. Liked the bonus of the included pen holder.
