Review on Nikon 50mm f/1.8D Lens: Perfect for Nikon DSLR Cameras! by Adisorn Nasa ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

All in all, this is a great lens. Small chromatic aberrations on open apertures are only noticeable at high magnification, so this is nonsense. The same goes for a little blur. Of course, a non-standard FR on a crop is not a drawback of the lens. The processor virtually eliminates exposure errors if you use the matrix mode on the camera. Errors in focusing, in most cases due to the cheap design of the camera screwdriver drive. On covered apertures it is very sharp, it even "rings". It makes no sense to complain about noise when focusing, because this is due to the camera motor and the screwdriver drive. I suppose the more advanced the camera, the faster and more accurate the focus. PS It should not be considered as amateur glass for ejection, until better times. You can and should shoot it! Good luck!

Pros
  • Aperture. Reliability. Compactness. Light. D-Processor. Sharpness. The front lens is deeply recessed, so it is not necessary to use a filter protector.
Cons
  • Doesn't have a motor. At a wide open aperture, chromatic aberrations are quite noticeable when shooting contrasting objects. Occasional errors in focus.
