It works like a Wi-Fi music speaker, but what I've wanted for a long time is a multiroom PC speaker. After purchasing this, the PR5, and the HD Play-Fi PC version, I found that Play-Fi can either sync ONE speaker to PC sounds, or a group of speakers that sync to each other due to a long one-second delay play late. I'd like the main speaker to be synced to the computer and the rest turned off in other rooms, but nothing can get this to work. There is a Windows software called Voicemeeter that can duplicate audio onto two outputs, but Play-Fi actually bypasses this merging as it disables its driver if it's not the selected audio output (to do what I wanted would be Voicemeeter the selected audio output) . and it communicates with the Play-Fi speaker). I repeatedly felt like I finally got the setup I wanted, only to fail it. I would buy a couple of these if it worked. Oh well. I spoke to support about this and they said they are working on a Play-Fi software update that will allow multiple speakers to play with the computer at the same time. I hope it comes out soon, but who knows.
