I had an elderly cat who had trouble using the litter box, but when I bought her a fancy multi-tiered litter box she refused to eat or drink. Before I let her "go away" I quarantined her in a room so the urine wouldn't spill all over the house and I could easily see where she had her accidents. I needed the lock because other animals in the house were trying to get into the room where the accordion door didn't have a latch, so I bought this latch/lock with a hook. It's reasonably well protected, but feels more like an inconvenience than a genuine complaint about a genuine product.
