I use this monitor as a second monitor for my 27" iMac. It really doesn't compare to the iMac's large Retina display, but I wasn't expecting it since it's only 1080p. Use it as a great second monitor, come on which I can drag things I don't use all the time, or even more conveniently, I drag Photoshop or Lightroom controls onto the ViewSonic so I have my entire iMac to view images I'm working on. The ones that come with ViewSonic come in handy that they can use (see product description) but I had to buy an adapter cable from Revain to connect it to my iMac.The Thunderbolt to HDMI cable was cheap and perfect for plug and play.The stand makes it easy to place the ViewSonic next to your iMac by aligning the edges at the top, bottom, or anywhere in between.Set up is as easy as pressing up or down.If you ever have an external monitor, check out this one. CRT days. They make a great monitor at a low price that has vibrant, beautiful colors. I'm sure it will make a great main monitor as well.
