Works as hoped. I recently bought a Surface Pro 4 for my work PC and occasionally work from home. I have a 40 inch Samsung 4K UHD TV that I use as a home monitor. The monitor only has HDMI inputs and the SP4 only has a miniI Displayport output. This adapter worked to give me 4K, 3840 x 2160, 30p output on my TV, again as I was hoping for. I give 4 stars for everything. If this adapter stays reliable for several months I may add a 5th star. I've had frustration a few times with adapters that worked at first and then failed after a short time due to loose plugs, loose cables, etc. FYI my company has provided a Dell 3100 Dock Replicator with 4K support via SP4. USB 3 port This doesn't work with my monitor, although I don't know why. That's why I bought this Mini DP to HDMI Adapter.
