As a professional trainer I have used almost every e-collar available. This is my best choice for a great value collar. a knowledgeable, experienced dog handler introducing his dog to an electronic collar. If you get it wrong, you can do more harm than good. Now I'm going to talk specifically about the collar. Pros: Low cost Constant level of stimulation (VERY IMPORTANT) Decent battery life Easy to charge Water resistant Cons: Lasts up to 1 year Not waterproof Overall this is a great collar that you can replace at least once a year. With heavy use and proper care, it will last a year. I also recommend replacing the included collar with a Biothane collar that has a metal buckle rather than a clasp that can open itself.
