I found this replacement kit while digging around in the door handle (plastic knee? Really?). Disclaimer: I'm *not* a car enthusiast, but somewhat mechanically inclined. The swap isn't trivial (a bit of drilling into some of the plastic struts), but it's not rocket science either. The kit included all the necessary parts, even a drill. The instructions were a little sparse, but once you do, you'll find that's all it takes. Just take your time and read, don't try to think about it. Yes, you put in another piece of plastic for the doorknob, but that's all the manufacturer supplies. I hope I don't have to do this again, but if I have to I know where to take the role! I asked at my local auto parts store and they sold the kit but it was out of stock and I doubted I would be able to find it anywhere. Of course, Revain has a great supplier who stocks it.
