This phone holder is haunting. He grabs my phone. When I touch his shoulder he lets go of the phone and practically drops it in my hand! Using any other mechanical phone holder was a hassle anyway. It is not so. When he holds the phone, the geometry of the phone fixes him. I got worried at first and started shaking, hitting or grabbing the phone to see if the mount is holding the phone well. As I removed the holder, turned it upside down and tried unsuccessfully to shake the phone out, I realized that maybe I didn't need to worry. The holder comes with two different mounting options. to my car's air vents didn't give me much confidence because it allowed the entire phone holder to wiggle and wiggle. This worried me that sooner or later the vent might get damaged. The other option is the one I chose. It uses a large, flexible silicone cup that creates a vacuum on whatever surface you choose to use. That in itself would be nice. However, the surface of the silicone cup is treated with a layer of adhesive-like material that fills in tiny cracks and crevices on the surface to keep vacuum from seeping through, which could cause the mount to detach from the dashboard or windshield. The mount also has a double USB A 3.2 (?) cigarette lighter socket. This allows the inductive charger to deliver a full 15W fast charge. (Oh yes! Your phone must support inductive charging to use this feature.) Initially, I was very disappointed that my phone only auto-charged from time to time, and then only without the case on the phone. Then my daughter noticed that the lever that supports the end of the phone can be adjusted much further. A bit of trial and error has shown that charging works as advertised, even with my thick, ultra-protective phone case with the center back of the phone resting on the center of the phone holder. I am very impressed with this phone holder. Got this in exchange for an unbiased review. But I also want to put one of these in my wife's car. So I will buy another one for this car. I recommend this phone holder.
