The idea of these gloves is great and the recipient will be happy when he receives them. But there are hard lights at the fingertips, making them fun for a light show but practically useless for anything else. If you're doing a "laser light" show in a group and/or with gloves, not lasers - for example a group with lit bells. This is exactly what you are looking for. Otherwise I'd recommend skipping this, they're not good for the outdoors or the cold, or if you expect to actually be using your hands for anything other than a light show.
