Review on 📱 RAM Mounting Systems RAP-274-1-AP6U Easy On/Off Handlebar Mount for Apple iPhone 3G & 3GS by Rushabh Gonsales

After researching several different iPhone bike mounts on Revain, I decided to give it a try. I felt it was cheap enough and if it wasn't very good I wouldn't have wasted a lot of money. I was a bit concerned about some of the negative reviews here, especially the ones that said it wasn't secure, the phone was loose and the zippers weren't strong enough. However, the positive reviews seemed to make up for it, so I gave it a try. I have to say this mount is excellent for the price! It was very easy to install - I have a ToPeak basket/trunk handlebar mount and I attached it to an extra "computer" mount that sits on top of the ToPeak mount, it's sort of a mini handlebar extension. With a rubber pad that sticks to the bar, the zip ties are tightened very nicely. My iPhone 3GS snaps in place and stays very secure. For those saying the phone "pops out," it's possible that the top of the mount isn't fully connected - there's a small protrusion that "clicks" over the top front edge of the phone. Once it's in there, it won't come out unless you press down on the clip to manually release the phone. I've been driving about 40-50 miles with my iPhone in the mount and hit a few bumps and bumps and the phone shows no signs of popping out. The mount doesn't budge or move at all and I feel secure while driving and not worried about my phone detaching. On the functional side, having my phone right in front of me while cycling is incredibly useful and I don't have to constantly stop and pull my phone out of my pocket or bag to check my progress. I use the Endomondo app to track my rides and it's so great that I can see my current time and distance and also have a real-time map right there so I can make decisions about which road to take when I drive through an unfamiliar street area. Although I haven't tried it yet, I'm sure it will come in handy when someone calls me and I can quickly pull over to the curb and answer the call right away without fumbling with the phone. I also like how the bracket on the bottom of the phone leaves a gap to plug in an external device - very useful when I'm on a long trip and need to plug in an extra battery for charging.
