Review on Picks Caspian Double Pointed Needle by Shantel Griffin

I have a set of Harmony needles from KnitPicks (same type, a different color than the Caspian) and I love them for socks and mittens. I am generally satisfied with the quality of KnitPicks and often order yarn and knitting needles there. I was pleased to find the Caspian line with a beautiful color palette and smooth finish just like the Harmony needles that I already own and love. to the heel. The lamination on the tree comes off in fragments and sticks to the knitwear and skin. I see spots where the wood is peeling off and forming a groove on the side of the needle. I am disappointed to be returning my set for a refund. I will try to order a replacement set to ensure only one batch is defective. UPDATE: The replacement kit still has shards (not as strong as the first kit but still visible). Worse, one of the US0 needles broke in half on the toe on the K2tog. I have been knitting with wooden needles for over 20 years and I have never broken a needle!
