I bought this about five years ago when I moved to a new location and needed to hook up both ethernet and home audio. All labels stayed on the cables for five years. Most labels are legible. The labels I put where the cable bends a lot were harder to read. My advice is to place the label where the cord is going straight, on the plug itself, or a few inches from the plug. And use a good marker. This week I'm revising the audio setup. I figured removing the old labels would leave a sticky residue on my cables. Here is nothing. Most of the old labels came out perfectly clean with no marks. Some left something like chewing gum that was easy to remove with your fingers. Fast and easy. No chemicals required. When this runs out I will definitely get another one.
