Review on 🪒 Feather Artist Club SS Folding Straight Razor with Wood Handle by Dana Berger

Definitely a first-class Shavette razor made in Japan. The price is quite justified compared to the regular version. The steel weight is also much better than the standard SS razor (which feels like a toy compared to the wooden version), and the wooden handle is beautiful (much better than the KAI Captain Woody). The only thing I find fault with is the distinctive design of the SS series. : Rounded tip and minimal blade stress that may or may not affect your experience with it. If you're just learning Shavette/Razor, this SS razor will suit you if you're starting from scratch. However, if you come from another Straight Razor or Shavette (like Captain KAI) you won't like it. Why? Due to the design of the rounded SS tip, be prepared to use a very steep angle (much less than 30 degrees or so) that's almost parallel to your face. You have to throw away everything you've learned with other razors to get a great shave with SS.
