My daughters are thrilled with this mouthguard. Both play lacrosse and say they will never go back to traditional mouthguards. They fit snugly around your teeth just like Invisalign braces: you literally have to "pop" them with your fingers so they can open their mouths and talk or scream while they're playing, without fear of the mouthguard falling out. They also find it much easier to breathe since they don't have to clench their teeth to hold it while running. You have to watch the videos to learn how to shape it, but they are clear and straight forward. It took us 2-3 tries to master the first time, but you can always repeat it if you don't get it right the first time. My eldest daughter has braces and they recommend having the orthodontist shape them but she didn't have an appointment so we lined her upper teeth with aluminum foil and shaped them over it and it worked well - again it took some trial and error . to get the final fit. Plan to mold it when you have enough time to work with it - it's not something you have to try for the first time 5 minutes before heading out to a game.
