strong and roomy

This large but small travel box was the best $30 I've ever spent! It's very compact but has a lot more space than the other box I've used. I bought it to use as a street altar for my spiritual practice and it's perfect for things like that. I love removable dividers! The lid itself is very roomy and I was able to add some stretchy pieces to it so I could fit my travel journal inside! Finding storage space has always been a problem for me. I hated the brand name on the front but it comes off easily with one finger and is only held in place by two tinting pins. This is the perfect length for incense sticks and a stand over them, and candles too! The compartments at the bottom aren't big enough for an incense bag or deck of tarot cards, but removable dividers make it easy to fix that. Each compartment has a fairly large votive for reference. It's durable and the finish is nice - the clasps are strong and well made. They had an unfinished version with gold hardware but I prefer silver and the stain color is perfect for those who like a modern or vintage look! It's a very versatile stain color, so it's worth a total of $6 or so more to have it boxed and finished with silver hardware. I can see this box will last me a long time! A fairly large tapestry will also fit in one compartment, and each compartment isn't wide enough for a chime candle or tweezers for your charcoal slices, but they fit diagonally! I can imagine passing this on to my kids or niece, it's so durable and will get lots of love.

I use this to store herbs for making tea. Sturdy box, tight closure and no weird chemical smell.
