Review on Chenkou Craft Velvet Ribbon Assorted by Kristen Reid

This ribbon looks great if you just need something to hang it up, but I was disappointed for a number of reasons. First of all it's my fault: I really miscalculated when ordering and I just didn't realize how short I would get each color. Some of these colors are great, but I know others probably won't be used again. This usually means that as I try to buy more of the ones I do like, the colors I don't like start piling up - and that happens quickly with just 1 meter of each colour. I really hate how they were packaged. The product image shows each color separately, but that is not what you will get. Instead, you get about half a dozen large rolls of multiple colors. Without expanding each, it's impossible to see what's there. Because of this, before I could even use the tape, I spent an hour and a half unrolling large rolls and making small, separate rolls of each color. After that, I can easily see and access them. But to be honest I really had a lot more to do than repacking 30 meters of tape. The quality is not bad. I was hoping for a thicker band as I plan to use them to make necklaces and I want them to last a long time. A thicker bristle on the band would have prevented it from wrinkling too easily and making it look prematurely worn. For anything I make of it I have to charge a little less and warn buyers that the necklace cord will wear out over time. What I love: A lot of these colors are amazing. It's nice to have a sampler that lets me know what I need most. I really hope they hold up better than I expected. The time will show. If you just need ribbons for trimming or hanging jewelry, this is a good choice. However, I think I need to keep looking for higher quality for my purposes.
