Although my desktop computer is a business-class workstation, I bought it in its basic configuration. I did this on purpose to add my own update settings. I have a work PC for high quality video, photo and graphics editing and another for gaming, but I've wanted to be able to do both from time to time on my home PC where I usually work on projects. As they say, no one including me will ever say that this card is a high end gaming/graphics card. It's not like this. But don't think that something low-end has no value, or as I've seen one claims that the onboard video that comes with a base computer is better than any low-end graphics card. Logic dictates that shared memory could be a useful and valuable upgrade compared to dedicated memory and a graphics-optimized card. Note that the company classifies this as a stable business model. What does that mean? I asked, and the answer was simple, products with that designation are designed for businesses, are compatible with a wide range of operating systems and hardware, and offer extended product support not typically available for consumer products. Perhaps most intriguing is what they call an advance replacement - if you have a problem with your card, you can keep using it until a replacement is sent to you, so you don't have to be left with a broken computer for a few days or weeks . I know that owning a business can mean using resource-intensive software, needing consistent graphics performance, and expecting business computer components to likely be on 24/7 and in frequent use. But which one to choose? There are so many brands out there with so many specs that sound the same but fall short in terms of component quality, which can result in intermittent performance, not performing as expected, or premature failure. So the starting point for me is the ASUS brand. People who really know graphics cards rarely disagree that this company is a quality fanatic. After this solution, I found that reading what others are saying when it comes to others is not a big deal since there are so many variables. component in their computer system, what applications they use, how busy their computer is with applications, the list goes on... this is a product that I believe is the only way to know if it will work for you, is to get it and try it out in their systems for their unique purposes. The first piece of advice I think might be helpful when you're groggy and just don't know which one to choose is to look at the fine print above. Each product here has a first sale date (actually you can sort by several parameters, one of which is to list the most recently added products in any category). You'll notice that some graphics cards still sold here may have been released with Windows XP or even earlier. It is no coincidence that the main reason people say they are dissatisfied with a graphics card seems to be that it is not compatible with newer operating systems such as WIN10. By purchasing a card that was designed and manufactured after the release of WIN10 and has built-in drivers written for WIN10, you greatly increase your chances of 100% compatibility and take a big step towards compatibility in the future. After weeks of research and the fact that I had at least a dozen semifinalists in my basket I settled on this one. And I think I did it, it works very well, it's such a breath of fresh air that something works the way it should. Two final words of caution: I have no issues with the most popular search engine that starts with G - it's always been my favorite search engine. But if you don't need their chrome or search bar, note that unless you catch them and dismiss them, they both come installed by default. You have to take them off when you don't need them. Another heads up is just my fault - the card comes with a protective plastic pad on the contacts. I didn't see it and tried to put it in the motherboard. Hmm, doesn't fit in the slot. Hey don't make fun of me, at least I caught it before I tried to force it in.
