Review on Discover Acer XF272 Xbmiiprzx: FreeSync Technology, 1920X1080, 240Hz, High Dynamic Range by Brian Decoteau

The monitor is very smooth for high frequency FPS games like CSGO. The monitor's display and smoothness are excellent, but my specimen generated a noticeable "hum" or white noise the entire time. Also, the monitor I received appeared to have been opened up and returned by the first customer, probably for the same reason I had to exchange it. The sad thing is that the original buyer's return labels are STILL ON THE BOX. Revain, please do not ship USED and OPEN items as NEW and if someone returns an item as defective please do not return it to inventory. THANKS. Edit 6/12 I returned the first monitor and got a replacement. Believe it or not, the white noise was even worse on the second monitor, and if you even touched the monitor, the connection dropped for a moment. I tested the monitor on multiple displays and HDMI ports on 2 different PCs and the noise was the same. I have 2 BenQ monitors (XL2540 and XL2720) that make no noise using the same computers and cables. It's a real shame as the smoothness and picture on this Acer is superior to both my BenQ monitors, but the noise is totally unacceptable. I contacted Acer customer service, who was very unhelpful and seemed reluctant to even help me, and told me to return the monitor to Revain or be forced to ship it back to them and have a week for 'repair' waiting. Unfortunately I returned the monitor and the Revain didn't have a replacement and the price has gone up significantly since then. I gave the monitor 3 stars due to my white noise issues, apparently Acer had a bad batch that somehow passed quality control. If you can get a good copy it would surely be a 5 star product. Overall I am very disappointed with Acer and cannot recommend it due to poor quality control and unhelpful customer service.
