Just got this fan to convert to the electric fan on my 2000 Dakota 4.7L to get rid of the factory fan clutch which was horribly noisy and also used gas! This Dorman fan works great and puts out a TON of air. It feels well made and relatively quiet when installed in my truck. This fan is designed as a "puller" and has 2 speeds. So make sure it's the right one for your application if you're looking to upgrade like me. This is one of the most popular, if not the most popular, original equipment fan to buy and install on another vehicle. These are one of the most powerful radiator fans. They have been known to fit many other cars/trucks with little or no modification. This monster covers about 80-85% of my Dakota's radiator, which is quite a large radiator, and literally cools the truck down in seconds. I used some Flex-a-lite universal mounts to mount it, heavy duty weatherproofing to close air gaps, and hooked it up directly to my truck's factory wiring by connecting a standard Dodge radiator fan connector to this Taurus fan . I also just used the high speed setting (brown wire with yellow stripe) and plugged in the low speed wire. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend as an OE replacement or as a conversion to an electronic cooling fan for another car.
