Not permanent, almost empty when new

I only had to buy 3 markers from an art supply store. First, there is virtually no color in the markers. When you shake it, you only hear the ball rolling in, it seems that it is completely empty, although there is color. I got my t-shirt dirty drawing a ruler on my rod, the next day fishing in the sea did the paint peel off my shirt? It's good? I thought it was forever All marks also came off the rod within a day or two of fishing. I have used various markers for this purpose in the past and the markers have lasted 2 years with minimal wear. So maybe it's good for the needs of someone
