After a long line of increasingly expensive wireless routers, along with additional antennas and a whole host of annoyances, this Wi-Fi router is a lot better at half the price I got pay replacement every 10 months. I almost bought a more expensive version of this Asus router that included a print server, but my wireless printer is a bit dated and I wasn't sure if the printer would be compatible with it or not. I skipped it because Asus was a new brand of routers for me. I can go back and in the future get the print server version and then use it as a range extender or something. My only complaint is that 2.6MHz or GHz (I tend to forget) works fine, but the 5.2GHz channel delays about half of the signal. We don't have any other devices using these channels (no other routers or cordless phones) so I can't say why the signal on this channel is so weak that it can't). In any case, the router works perfectly with 1 channel. It's been working for me for 3 weeks now. I've reset it twice in that timeframe, which was a huge improvement over the much more expensive D-Link, which I had to reset 10-20 times a day (every time the device was connected to Wi-Fi). I use it indoors and outdoors. It reaches the full length of the house at around 80 feet. It also reaches my office in Fisherman's Wharf, passes my backyard and comes out in 80-180 feet of water. No complaints!
