I wasn't sure how big this light is until I tried to install it. I was very surprised to see the quality and craftsmanship in this product. The whole shell is thick metal, looks like zinc plating or something. It's very heavy, I didn't weigh it but probably around 15-20 pounds. The LED lights are protected by a thick transparent cover and sealed against weather and water, therefore the protection class is IP65. I actually hired a local electrician to professionally install this to avoid electrical damage that could result from improper wiring. It's very bright, my entire 2,500 square foot front yard is well lit when it's on. Highly recommended if you're buying serious outdoor lighting.
