Tried on several cars including a dark one. Did a great job cleaning the surface and flushing it free with every nudge into the bucket. I didn't notice any extra streaks or puckering compared to washing with mittens. I would like it to be yellow/orange or light in color. But while I'm washing a record, I turn it halfway, rinse it, and wring it in a bucket, then a bucket of soap. Before that I used multiple wash mitts with only 1 soap bucket. I will continue to use gloves for cleaning things like doorknobs, tight spaces, etc., but for flat and curved surfaces this is the best option for now. In terms of washing and storing, this is a wash as I use a second water. buckets, but with less water and drying time. Also very easy to wash/dry. A little rinse and wring under water and it will clean itself and you can squeeze out most of the water, then put on and let dry overnight. I wish I hadn't waited a few days to order it, now it has free shipping on Prime for $20, I paid about $27, but that's not the product's fault. Overall, I'm glad I bought this. I've never looked into car wash sponges, but this has already proven to be a safe way to go with the new cell technology they have. This is not a Walmart or Pep Boys sponge! Only time will tell durability but for the price if I put it in for a year I'm very satisfied. Another good product from The Rag Company. It would be 5 stars if it was a light color that would make it easier for me to see the dirt and when it's actually being washed.
