I bought these shoes in early 2019 to finally replace the toe clips I was using in my running shoes and this is my first attempt at a cleated cycling shoe. Almost two years have passed and the shoes are perfectly preserved and have proven to be very durable! I've used them for racing and training, on multiple bikes, on the road and on a stationary trainer. Aside from a few scuffs and traces of chain oil, they still look good and fit well. Others have talked about getting used to tongueless shoes, but I haven't really noticed a difference, and the extra surface area of the open foot definitely helps my feet breathe (and dry out after competitive swim splits). In colder weather they don't offer much protection to the toes of my feet, but at this point I'm usually out of breath and riding indoors with my shoes on. very flat and hard. I solved this problem by adding used running shoe insoles to these cycling shoes and they have been a perfect fit and feel ever since! Sports shoes, I wear either an 8.5 or 9 (depending on the brand) and the EU size 42M fits me perfectly. Recommend this shoe not only for racing, but also for all-round use in warm weather or indoors.
