Review on 🔒 Weston 65-0501-W Pro Advantage Vacuum Sealer, 11-inch, Stainless Steel and Black by Sophia Medina

I gave this vacuum sealer to my boyfriend the same day he proposed to me and the short beginning of our marriage has already survived this vacuum sealer. This was his birthday present a year ago after seeing the America's Test Kitchen review. It broke after 5 months of light use and no longer sucks air. He contacted Weston and was given a list of tests that needed to be run. I guess the list seemed huge to him and he put it aside. It would be nice if Weston would do the shipping for customers and test/repair defective products themselves. He started testing a few weeks ago and reported the results to Weston. They explained that the product is ONLY out of warranty (about 10 days) and will not replace/repair the sealant. However, Weston is sending us a repair kit so we can try to fix it ourselves. It's been a terrible headache for a birthday present/accidental gift proposal so far. We expected better product quality and better customer service from a product that received such high marks from ATK.
