Review on πŸ’¦ EVGA CLC 120mm All-In-One CPU Liquid Cooler: Efficient Cooling Solution with Intel Compatibility and 5 Year Warranty by Ron Mohammed

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The pump and CLC are fine, but EVGA Flowcontrol (software for measuring CPU temperature) is faulty. To stay updated.

The pump is fine - it's a 5th generation Astek pump anyway. No problem. The problem is that the EVGA flow control software for monitoring the CPU temperature is buggy. When used in conjunction with the LEDsync software, the Flowcontrol software will be buggy and suddenly not recognized by the motherboard. Pretty much you have to reinstall the software every time you start LEDsync before Flowcontrol, otherwise you'll get an error and won't be able to monitor the CPU temperature. The EVGA fans that come with the CLC are of fairly cheap quality. I replaced mine with 2 Corsair ML140 fans and 2 Thermaltake Riing 14 (140mm) fans with a blue LED for the push/pull configuration on the heatsink. Youtube, in case you don't understand, there are a lot of videos on it. EVGA has not yet found a solution. Just a note. This applies to all of their CLC coolers. This is a software issue.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
