No, this is not real leather.
.but it's durable, attractive and allows you to carry a laptop discreetly. The lining is soft, the elastic corners don't quite hold the case when worn and moved, but that doesn't bother me. That I can leave it in the seat of my car with a bunch of other books with no one smarter working for me. It's also a good defense in case I get clumsy and drop my jewel. I still have one for my other larger laptop and would buy it again if I needed a different size. i have red It looks like old skin. Good.
