I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I love these shoes. I only had to put something on inside - to put on after entering the house and removing my shoes or boots. And I was careful because Chinese shoes of this type (like tai chi shoes) are often very uncomfortable, with poor workmanship and little support, so I stopped wearing them 25 years ago. But they are very good and offer sufficient support, mainly due to the excellent high-strength outsole. One caveat is that I wear them with socks and have noticed that they hurt my heels when I wear them barefoot. And contrary to what a lot of people say, mine was true to size. In fact, they're a bit roomy; I think I could go down a size. They're not exactly light or lightweight compared to typical tai chi shoes. But again, the soles are durable and provide a solid foundation. Definitely recommended!
