Review on Noctua NH-D15S Dual-Tower CPU Cooler with NF-A15 PWM Fan - Premium Brown Edition by Vivian Jackson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easily outperforms the 320mm H150i liquid cooler

Virtually silent. Absorbs heat like no other cooling system I own, including my Corsair H150i 320mm 3-fan system. CinebenchR20 Temps with i9 9900K @ 5.0 GHzHydro H150i Pro: Water cooler in quiet mode, 3 fans in quiet mode = 97°C (low fan noise) Water cooler in balanced mode, 3 fans in quiet mode = 81°C (moderate fan noise) Cooler Water cooler in Extreme mode, 3 fans in quiet mode = 79°C (low fan noise) Extreme mode water cooler, 3 fans in balanced mode = 77°C (moderate fan noise) Extreme mode water cooler, 3 fans in extreme mode = 75° C (LOUD fan noise) Noctua NH-D15S with i9 9900K @ 5.0GHz No dampened power cable Resistance = 68C (low fan noise) Choosing Noctua over H150i is not a problem unless you crave RGB lighting and open interior. Air-cooled is also much more tolerant of its failure modes, with airflow being very low even in the D15S's most aggressive mode with no liquid leaks. Also, air cooling can keep your graphics card a bit colder than liquid cooling.
