Review on Noctua NH-D15S Dual-Tower CPU Cooler with NF-A15 PWM Fan - Premium Brown Edition by Doyun Siu ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

In general, I am satisfied with the purchase, it cools the i9-9900, in idle time 30 degrees, in the AIDA64 stress test after 15 minutes the temperature did not rise above 60 degrees (I didn’t test it longer, but the games will show more real results). I didn't install a second fan. In theory, if the case is looser than a simple ATX (I don’t remember what they are called correctly), then you can install it directly without removing the motherboard, provided that there is a rectangular hole at the back of the case for installing a rear reinforcement plate. In my case, in the Cooler Master K280 case, with the left (main, if you look at the "muzzle" of the case) cover, the gap remains, from above the radiator goes behind the L-shaped rack bend, but not into grinding. In general, when installing in a classic ATX case, it is desirable to have a modular power supply in order to immediately plug the power to the processor into the motherboard, and then install it in the case, because otherwise it would be very difficult (maybe even unrealistic). There were no problems with screwing the board to the case, the main thing was a long Phillips screwdriver with a magnetic tip. Also, there is no need (although time will tell) to install a fan on the back of the case, because. this heatsink departs quite close to it, and installing a motherboard with a fan already installed at the rear is not very convenient (due to the fact that the heatsink goes deep into the case above the top cover), and especially then connecting it. For the future, we should think about putting a fan in front of the case for better ventilation, but even without it, overheating has not yet been observed. As a result, this cooling is ideal for large cases, but if necessary, it is normally (well, with a little difficulty) installed in a regular ATX case (but here it is desirable that there be an additional niche in the left cover, although I saw a review that it fit into a simple case 2022 with straight cover).

Pros
  • 6 tubes, height (for almost all simple ATX cases), ease of installation (installed on socket 1150), moderate weight, a good amplifier to the motherboard, asymmetry (unlike Noctua NH-D15), the presence of thermal paste and, in general, the set of equipment is quite rich.
Cons
  • Price (subjectively, on 05/09/2022 I bought it for 7650, and in a couple of days it already costs 10199, which is rather strange), the absence of a second cooler in the kit (like the Noctua NH-D15).
