It would be just unfair not to give this product 5 stars. And that's not just because of the unbelievably low price. At this price point, one cannot complain, for example, about the (very good) plastic case and perhaps a little less ergonomic design, or even the slow response of the device in certain indoor situations. Perhaps the biggest downside is that you can't fix the UV filter (to protect the lens). But all this is, at least for me, a small problem. Of course, the advantages, including the price, far outweigh the disadvantages. I have to say that I consider myself a decent semi-professional photographer. I had fancy Nikon and Canon professional gear but wanted a very good and cheap single lens camera to avoid the hassle. I've tried Olympus and Lumix cameras and been quite happy with them, but for some reason I wanted to try Fuji products. The price and features of this device were too good to be true and I decided to give it a try. I'm not disappointed at all. The quality of the shots themselves (both color and focus) is better than any comparable camera before it. The 30x zoom is amazing and the panorama feature is super cool, as is the powerful close-up. You can switch from fully automatic to fully manual, which is very important to me. HD video with upscaling is also a plus. AA batteries (Sony rechargeable ones in my case) also last a very long time. In a word, try it! Even if you really don't like it (which I highly doubt), an almost ridiculously small amount of money won't upset you.
