were damaged I used one to replace a 6 1/2 inch hand held circular saw bearing. Right out of the box each bearing had some tolerance/play which I didn't expect from a novelty. I thought that the new bearing would have no play, that it would be stiff (meaning no movement other than turning is allowed)... Comparing the tolerance/side play between used and new... I will say that old had less wobbly. The only difference between the new and old was the lack of lubrication on my old ones which have been in my saw for over 6 years. However, I installed it and yet saw it working quietly now... let's see how long. old and guess what...work without creaking, rattling and uncomfortable vibrations...
