I have a long walk from the kitchen sink to the main line, which is always clogged. After running the line last year, I decided to give it a try. The first use uses about half a container, but after mixing this up, pouring it down the sink and waiting a few days before rinsing it off with hot water, I noticed a much faster flow out of the sink. Since then, I mix 3-4 tablespoons with 1.5 cups of warm water (remember to stir for 3-4 minutes to activate) and pour down the sink every 7 or 10 days, followed by 2 cups of warm water. I leave it untouched in the pipes for as long as possible. usually about a day and a half. A year later, my sink is leaking faster than ever. Note that this is a pipe maintenance device, so you must have some flow to get it into the clogs. It also helps to warm up the whistles as much as possible before use. It probably won't work on sinks/showers due to the various materials clogging the pipes (hair, suds and grease, food debris) but I've been lucky enough to use it on the toilet. Just be patient and persistent.
