Difficult to install and small tears in fabric

I have installed many flush mount lights in our home and this was the most difficult with completely useless instructions. Most flush mounts use long screws that you screw up vertically so the flat heads hang down so you can line up a pair of light holes. This light, on the other hand, is intentionally turned upside down so you can screw in a small ball like nuts. First problem, the long screws are very unstable as they wiggle when hung, so aligning the holes was more difficult than I thought. When you move the mount, the screws actually bend and move, making alignment extremely difficult. I scraped the ceiling to level it so now I have to tape and repaint it. Second, those little ballscrews were difficult to screw in, and what's the point if it's all covered by a transparent sheet? Totally redundant, and anyone who thought it was a good idea to design a setup this way should be fired. Eventually, the fabric was actually ripped, so we didn't notice until we fully installed and removed the guard from the fabric case. If you think I'm wasting my time taking the damn thing off to get it back, forget it.
