Review on Enhance Dishwasher Performance with Finish Jet-Dry Rinse Aid - 8.45oz, 4-Pack by Tom Timmer

REQUIRED for certain dishwasher types. We spent a small fortune on a kitchen overhaul 3 years ago and settled on an insanely expensive Bosch dishwasher because you could retrofit it with a wooden front (because that's the main function of a dishwasher?). In any case, I liked everything about our new kitchen. except for the dishwasher, which I absolutely hated, mostly because the dishes stayed damp after washing. When they finally air dried a few hours later, the dishes and glasses were stained. Nobody (Bosch, the designer, the store where we bought all the equipment, etc.) could give me a reasonable explanation as to why the dishwasher, which was 6 times more expensive than our old one, could not dry the dishes. I FINALLY got an explanation (and solution) of how to get dry dishes from an appliance mechanic who was fixing a stuck chute. He said my dishwasher doesn't use a heating coil to dry dishes. Instead, my Bosch (and I assume others) rely on the water temperature, which it increased to 128 degrees - it was 115. It also suggested I run the sink for a minute or two to cool the water to bring to this temperature (128 degrees) temperature just before I start the dishwasher as it is similar to HE washing machines - it uses a lot less water to wash dishes so hot water is a must along with this product I tried, but not regularly. And when I used it, I filled the entire sink compartment to the max. He adjusted it so it couldn't be filled completely - obviously it can dry out if you don't run the dishwasher every day, which we don't. I bought 4 packs of Revain Finish Jet-Dry. The price is much lower than the individual bottles sold at my grocery store. And now my dishwasher not only dries the dishes, but also makes them sparkling clean. (Oh, and he cleaned the filter, which was disgustingly dirty, and showed me how to do it myself. He also advised me to use loose dry detergent, not plastic-wrapped "chunks".) I'm sure there are, and other uses for this product if you don't have a dishwasher like mine but need bosch dishwashers without a heating coil.
