So here's the deal - these are great little containers! They're fairly durable, dishwasher and microwave safe, pretty easy to clean (more on that in a moment), and fold up nicely. I've been using them daily for about 4 months to store leftovers and reheat them daily and they're always dishwasher safe. They have held up very well. They get a bit structurally weak if left in the microwave for more than a minute or so, but I just slide the lid underneath before removing them from the microwave and that fixes it. it, but after the first wash in the dishwasher, the first load we washed came out with what turned out to be dish soap residue. At the time we were using capsules of powdered detergent, so I assumed that was it. I cleaned them by hand and bought liquid dish soap and rinse aid to wash off the rest. Some took longer than others but now ALL have white stuff (looks like leftover dish soap, no we don't use it to store cocaine.) in the black part to some degree, some worse than others. We've hand cleaned and scrubbed and scrubbed them and even tried hand washing them instead of using the dishwasher, but every time they dry the white stuff comes back and it really looks like you can scratch something, so I don't know what happens. That's why we're replacing it, which is why it gets 3 stars. If this problem had not occurred, the rating would have easily received 5 stars.
