Incredibly Weak - Window Treatment Device
Ordered this to replace the center support above a French door after our contractor lost the original part. Soft, oil-coated screws snap off almost immediately when penetrating a wood stud. Even with the pilot hole, none of the screws came closer than half an inch to the wall. You may have better luck using plastic wall anchors. After I replaced the screws with decent quality ones, the mount itself became so brittle that it had to be bent across the plane to match the weight of the bar. This bracket is at the top of our replacement list.
