Review on Upgrade Your Gaming Experience with SteelSeries Arctis 5 - RGB Headset for PC and PlayStation 4 - White [2019 Edition] by Hotaru Kai ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am not disappointed, the quality is satisfying.

Any purchase is always a purely subjective thing. For half a year I looked at these ears, everything was repelled by the price. I read a lot of reviews, especially here. I thought for a long time, but still decided on vacation to make myself a gift for others. Yes, the ears are very controversial. Headphones at this price should not have such controversial points. You should put them on and enjoy from the first seconds, and not sit in a dull and uncomfortable program to collectively farm the sound. And the sound in these headphones is not to say "which is just like in a barrel." They sound GOOD, but definitely not bad or perfect. In games (naturally, ears are for games) is excellent. I use them and FL studio (disable virt. 7.1) in default mode and it suits me perfectly. With 7.1 it's just tin :) -ears right away. Ears are a must have for playing games, watching videos and sometimes listening to music at work. The rest is past. Got what I expected, buying primarily for games. If you are a buyer like me, then I still advise you not to listen to anyone, but to go and listen to them in the store. Touch, wear. And if everything suits, buy. Well, anyway, all the best. Oh yes, the ears are in USB 3.0 on an old GA-Z68XP-UD3 (rev. 1.0) motherboard.

Pros
  • 1) Convenience: The earphones are light, the ears do not hurt after 8 hours in FL studio. The mount adjusted under itself in less than a minute, did this cause a problem for someone? 2) View: well, it’s obvious here, they really look cool, I personally liked the material. 3) Wire length: in my case, this is just a godsend, the wire is more than enough. The GAME-CHAT mixer sits like a glove and does not turn over. Who has had problems with this? 4) Software: I consider the fact that it is a plus, but at the same time it is very meager and miserable. In short, it's like that. 5) Positioning: I checked my ears in Escape From Tarkov (binary sound is disabled in the settings, in prog 7.1 - the game), after my Chinese Xiberia K3, the impression is only positive. For example: from the 3rd floor of the training room, I heard how they were jumping over the UIDSH cart. Xs, as in d2 and csgo, for such games, ears for 300 are enough. 6) Microphone: micro for such a price is normal. Not to say that it is ideal, with its own problems (I will describe them below), but he arranged for me and my interlocutor (clicks and buttons on the clave are heard well by the interlocutor, keep in mind). 7) Ear rims are not made of leather. zama: everything is subjective here, as elsewhere, but leather. Deputy in terms of comfort and convenience loses. True, for 6 hours of work in them, all the same, a little sweaty ears. Although it was 25 C outside. 8) Noise isolation: as elsewhere, everyone hears everything that you play. The computer is in a separate room and I have no problems with hearing someone.
Cons
  • 1) Sound: the sound is really good, there are both high and low. Bass is not to say that "fat" but it is. High also plays norms (only for some reason I liked listening to music without vert. 7.1), you can hear snare and hats. BUT the sound still does not induce a "Wow" effect like ears for 9k, so I consider this a minus. For me, the Chinese ears of the Xiberia K3 (with a vibration response to low ones) for 1300 played just as well. 2) The quality of the wires and their quantity: I sincerely don’t understand why it was necessary to make these bunch of poked wires? What's the point of buying a headset for 9k, which specializes in the gaming industry, to listen through a mini jack from your phone? What would you like to listen to with a friend / girlfriend in parallel with movies / vidos? Why? Religion does not allow using one bluetooth earpiece? In short, a very controversial decision from styles. The wires themselves are thin, pliable, I'm afraid that somehow it will break everything. 3) Price: naturally these headphones do not cost 9k, maximum 5. 4) 7.1: the virtual implementation is still more sad than happy. Here, of course, point 3 also plays a role.
