Review on Heavy Duty Waterproof Grill Cover For 22.5 Inch Weber Kettle Grills By Hongso by Jeffrey Mosqueda

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fair Value, but didn't meet expectations.

We live in the northern NYC suburbs, so we leave our grill out all year long. We purchased this in July, 2014. It became slightly brittle after that winter and had it's first minor tear in the spring of 2015, around May. I was able to mend the tear using an iron on patch from the inside. The tear was on a seam where the right shelf meets the grill body on top. After that, I decided to just see how long it lasted, which was until December 2016 without another tear. I'm not sure what my expectations were for longevity, but I was thinking 5 years. That may be too high of an expectation for leaving it on and outside all year long, through rain, sun, wind and snow. I was a bit surprised at just how brittle and stiff it became after the 1st year. So it's a fair value, but I bought a Duck Cover version to replace it with, so we'll see how long that lasts. It was slightly more expensive, as this was $31 vs $50 for the Duck Cover.

Pros
  • Great buy. Fits a 22 inch webber grill.
Cons
  • The cover doesn't cover the entire grill
