Great waist cinch if you're new to period garb or if you're putting together a costume without wanting to spend an arm and leg.I'm 5'5", 210lbs, 39" waist, and I bought the XXL. It fits true to size, meaning it starts at that size and has stretch enough for a few more inches. I didn't want the piece to overly stretch or be snug so I opted to size to my actual waist.I haven't worn it for longer than maybe 15 minutes, but it's very comfortable. The velcro seems strong, but 4 stars as they fastened this basically with brown shoe laces. A quick trip to a craft store for leather twine will fix that.
