This product was purchased in 2014. When my tube needed replacing I removed the sock with the intention of using it on the new tube. Removing was much easier than installing. The installation was excruciating and almost impossible! What you don't know is that these hose socks attract dirt. I couldn't believe the dirt covering the outer sleeve of the vacuum hose. It was disgusting! I mean how difficult is it to install these things, who even takes them off to wash? Also, my baseboards were just as badly marked as without them. Save money and nerves and don't buy socks.
