I have tried many high end toasters. from A Dualit to Zwilling! (Twin works great, 5 stars). I've been let down by many since the days of the real old Sunbeam toasters. You can spend a fortune on a toaster that's no more reliable than one that costs $25 at the pharmacy. So I speak from experience in giving this toaster a 5 star rating. At least for now. It feels solidly built and the fit and finish is excellent. My experience with the thermometer shows that it's fairly accurate - after all, this is a toaster, not a surgical device. The bagel function works very well and the slots are wide enough to actually fit the bagels in. It toasts regular sandwich bread, sourdough slices, GF bread, toaster waffles, bagels, all perfectly acceptable. It is also very attractive to look at. I hope it lasts for many years!
