I was looking to replace my old HP laptop - it was heavier so it wasn't as easy to take on trips and was not as responsive as before despite the fact that you stay tuned in and constantly make sure the antivirus software is working. This laptop was reasonably priced and had most of the options I wanted - the only downside was that it had a DisplayPort option instead of HDMI (I connect a larger monitor if I use it in my home office). I made the mistake of setting up OneDrive as storage first, but since I have a lot of data, the included storage space was used up almost immediately, so I reinstalled Windows 10 and disabled OneDrive by default. Since I also have Google Drive, using another cloud option to store all the data needed was overkill. I don't use it on battery very often, but when I did it lasted longer than my previous HP. There are some minor issues with the unexpected hibernation (although I've adjusted my power settings to prevent this), but it's a minor annoyance. Overall, I'm glad I bought this HP Elitebook 840.
