I bought this to communicate with my wife when we go for a walk in the woods. Sometimes it's just easier than using a cell phone to talk to each other. Having had several walkie talkies in the past I know what I'm looking for. It looks great on paper and I wasn't sure if it was true. Then the goods came in the mail. When I opened it, I immediately liked the way it looked. When I tried it, I liked it even more. Now I play with it instead of using it in the forest. It has a decent range and great batteries. I think this will be the best Christmas present I've bought myself, although the other presents I get are much more expensive than this one (I know this because I bought most of them myself). One thing I'm not sure about is durability. Sometimes such a product can be great for a period of time, but soon after, it stops working. If it lasts at least two years, I call it a great product.
