20 years ago I was a professional photographer and needed to scan a lot of pictures. Colour, b/w and slides. I was looking for a scanner that could process images quickly and transfer them directly to my computer. I didn't want to take out the SD card, scan pictures onto it, keep them, and then transfer them to my computer. This little scanner gets the job done. It does not transfer directly to the computer, but has the option of allowing direct transfer via USB. That works fine. It's not a professional scanner, but it's perfect for DIY enthusiasts or those who just want to digitize their images. Color balance and picture settings work perfectly. I would recommend scanning the image and making any corrections on the computer. The device scans quickly. (1) Scanning a 35mm image takes only 1 or 2 seconds, and transferring it to a computer is just as fast. Remember that this device cannot fix bad pictures. Over time, the film will deteriorate, scratch, warp, melt, etc. and this device cannot repair it. However, you can fix these problems with the help of software on your computer. But for a simple memory saver, you can't beat this scanner.
