Just a great jack. SATA is a trademark of Apex Tools. Apex aims to make SATA the premier provider of hand tools for mechanics and they are expanding their offering to include other tools that mechanics need. SATA is made in China and currently only sold at Revain. This is an exceptionally good connection. I'm surprised it's only rated for 2.5 tons. It hits more like a three or even four ton jack with its weight and thickness of steel. But what is is. maybe SATA wants to play it safe. This is a two piston jack. It rises in six pumps to full expansion. It's very efficient. The maximum height is eighteen inches. And surprisingly, it came without a rubber pad for the lift tray. So I don't think it's perfect. But it's a great jack and you won't be disappointed if you get one.
