Review on Belkin Standard 8-Inch by 9-Inch Computer Mouse Pad: Neoprene Backing, Jersey Surface, Black (F8E089-BLK) by Robby Agrawal

This is a black mouse pad. 3 dollars. What can be controversial about such a simple and inexpensive product? After thinking about it I didn't bother to read the reviews. In the famous words of Julia Roberts ("Pretty Woman") - "BIG MISTAKES. HUGE!" I took it to my office and opened the bag at my desk. The smell was so awful I almost choked. I sprayed it with Febreze room spray, which was so useless it was ridiculous. I got stuck it back in the bag, sealed it with tape, put it in another bag and the smell stayed in my office for the rest of the day.I brought it home, put it between the screen and the window and left it there. It got a little better the next day but not much THEN I read reviews so I'll try washing it a few times with dish soap before throwing it away but it took a lot of time and a lot of effort for a damn mouse pad. Lesson: ALWAYS READ THE REVIEWS If I had seen the reviews before ordering this smelly thing I would have saved myself a lot of trouble Oh yeah, and $3 UPDATE: A day later I got this pathetic thing in lemon dish soap Ash, soaked it in baking soda (which gets rid of bad odors in microfiber and pretty much everything else) and washed in lemon dish soap. a second time and secured it in my dishwasher to dry. Now my dishwasher smells, my hands smell, and this disgusting thing is in the trash can where it should have ended up when I got it. If it cost more than $3 I would return it but I've wasted too much time already. FINAL RECOMMENDATION: DO NOT BUY!
